May 21st – Adult Date Night!
Early this week Kyle asked if we wanted to go on an adult only date, of course we said yes! Kyle made reservations for us at the Cheesecake Factory for supper. We were excited and waited the entire week for this time to go out with Kyle, Daisy, Sunep and Melissa.
The day started out with us dealing with a pipe leak in the camper and getting school work done with Lita. When we got to the campsite on Monday at the Canyon RV Park we didn’t have a water regulator hooked up to our tap, which many know is required when you get to some cities with too high of water pressure. The water pressure was too high for the camper pipes, so we shut the water off and made way to the Camping World to get a water regulator. Luckily the leak was just a loose connector under the sink and Kevin got it fixed up after he figured out where it was leaking from.
It seemed the day was flying by with everything we needed to get done around the camper, and then I got a call from Daisy asking if I wanted to go to the Chiropractor with her. Of course the time flew by and we realized we needed be at Kyle’s house to meet in less than an hour. We got the kids all loaded up and headed to their house so I could go for a Chiropractor appointment and Kevin could help my brother pick up and build a new shed for his backyard.
We got to Kyle’s house just in time for Daisy and I to head to the Chiropractor. I was so excited as I haven’t been to the Chiropractor since we left Hinton, AB. I never know what to expect when seeing a new Chiropractor but, this was the best experience I have ever had. Dr. Atencio was very thorough and he cracked my neck with me sitting up. I had a stiff shoulder, neck pain and a headache from sleeping funny. My headache was gone before we even left the office. I will for sure be going back next time we are in Costa Mesa, CA.
The boys had a lot of fun hanging out with their cousins this week. Here is a quick clip of Joseph showing off his skills. Jospeh designs and sells finger boards check out his website to get some awesome and unique designs. www.huffyboards.com I love the fact that our family has so many entrepreneurs, it really is a joy watching our kids grow up and find cool ways to start a business.
After, the guys got the shed built and we got back from the Chiropractor we waited for Melissa and Sunep so we could all ride to supper together. We took a short drive down to Newport where we had supper at the Cheesecake Factory. Since most of us are watching what we eat, and making healthier choices we were happy there was so many choices on the menu and things to try. Although the best part of the entire menu is of course the Cheesecake! I think we could have just had cheesecake for supper and we would have been happy.
After supper we headed back to hangout with the kids at Kyle and Daisy’s house. Kyle is so good at making sure we get pictures he made sure we got a picture of all of us and some candids of the kids. John just loved playing the Ukulele and was so proud he could do it by himself. We stayed later then we should have because the little kids were exhausted but it was worth the quality time we all got to spend together.
