Canyon RV Park review
Our time in California was up, our campsite at Canyon RV Park was booked for the upcoming weekend and we needed to find somewhere to go for the Memorial Day weekend. The closest place we could find was Las Vegas, so we ended up finding the Arizona Charlie’s RV. Today’s post will be a review of our stay in Canyon RV Park.
We stayed in site number 106, which was a fairly large site for what we had stayed in before. Some of the good things about this park was it had lots of pavement for the kids to bike, we were close to the shower house, it had a rope course, and a pool. Although the rope course was always busy, and the kids never were able to use it, and you have to pay a fee to use it even when staying at the park. The pool was closed until Memorial Day weekend and you aren’t given an off season discount when it is closed. The toilets were metal toilets without seats and at the premium price you pay I would expect to have at least toilet seats. We also encountered an ant problem at this site and when going to the front desk they were aware of it but, they don’t do anything to control them.
Overall our stay was pretty pleasant we had nice shaded area and a fire pit so you feel like you are really camping even though you are right off the freeway and you can hear traffic all hours of the day. I would say we enjoyed this place for what it was. It wasn’t our most ideal place for camping but, it was close to family and we needed to be in that area and we will be heading back there in August only because of the closeness to our family.
The price here was $375 a week or $75 daily but you do get charged $2 per each added guest per day over 2 people. This was pricey when you think about staying there for a month it would be quite a bit in the long run.
Pros: Clean Shower House, lots of Pavement for biking, close to a bike trail, rope course, pool, fire pit
Cons: No internet, No TV, Pool was closed, Rope course had a fee even for guest, ants and lots of them, no seats on toilet, lots of freeway noise
